The Valley’s newest entry into print and digital media almost didn’t happen, but it looks like it’s now getting back on track for an official launch later this year. Scheduled originally to launch last fall, new plans were made to release it early in 2026, but those plans too were foiled when Founder Chris Cayer’s health and his wife’s health both took turns for the worse late in 2025. Tracey Cayer’s health is reported to be making a dramatic turnaround, but Chris Cayer’s health is still in rough shape with him out of commission more days each week than not. Frankly both Cayers are facing uphill battles medically but they’re working on them together with a profound determination that together they shall overcome.
Part of that dream includes bringing a new best in class business magazine to Phoenix, one focused on helping local businesses thrive, local employees find the best places to work and support their families, and local communities to attract more businesses, more visitors, more investment, and more home grown entrepreneurs to our local hubs. Part of that dream relies on the fact that the Speakers Phoenix Journal doesn’t rely primarily on subscriptions or advertisers for the majority of their income models.
Speakers Phoenix Journal, like the rest of the Speakers Phoenix Media brands, focuses its revenue models on entirely different bases. From affiliate marketing revenue models to events, direct product sales to book publishing and other models, Speakers Phoenix Journal is designed to showcase the best of the Valley’s business trends, stories, and experts as they share what makes doing business and living here in the Valley of the Sun so very different. In particular stories from Arizona’s brightest authors, leaders, and subject matter experts are expected to lead the thinking of business and policy makers across the nation and around the world, and the Journal staff are expected to bring fair, intelligent, apolitical questions to the table to get the best information out of each story for you.
The Journal’s reporters start looking for new stories starting Monday, June 15th with an initial launch date sometime in early August or September expected. Both a digital and a print version are expected to be available at launch, with a variety of free content as well as the paid content editions.
